Catholic Relief Services is a top recipient of US Agency for International Development. They received four point six billion dollars from twenty thirteen to twenty twenty-two. The Catholic organization has come under fire for supporting pro-abortion aid programs. Critics also charged the organization with misleading US Senators regarding an African AIDS program that included the promotion of abortion. Catholic Relief Services said as a result of the defunding they were laying off nearly half of their workforce. Since a judge has intervened as they so often do, we don’t know how this will affect the organization’s plans for a monumental layoff. It’s my prayer President Trump’s action will carry the day because USAID is rife with corruption and wild spending.
