Eighteen years ago, Renata gave birth to triplets in a Boston hospital.  The babies named Gabriella, Isabella and David were premature and spent time in the NICU with Isabella spending two months there.  The young adults visited the NICU to share their appreciation for the special care they received nearly two decades ago.  Jennifer was one of the nurses who cared them.  She said, “I’m so used to handling babies and not having actual conversations with my patients.  I always tell families, ‘I’m never going to forget you.’  They’re not just a number here.  They’re someone important to me.”  In spite of the passing years, Renata remembers the “compassionate hands and a warm hug when we needed it the most.”  The triplets are going to college, all will be in the medical field.
