Fatima Goines went into labor at just twenty-two weeks.  Methodist Hospital in Minneapolis refused to treat the baby.  So, she checked into a birthing center just seven miles away associated with Children’s Minnesota Hospital where her baby received treatment and is doing great.  Even though over two-thirds of babies born this early will survive if given treatment, only about a half of America’s hospitals are equipped or have the desire to save babies this young.  The group Twenty-Two Matters advocates for micro preemies and has a social media presence.  They maintain a global map of hospitals where these tiny babies can find the care they need.  Families must fight for the proper care of their preemies and now there are resources to help you save your precious babies.
