I’ve told you about Canada’s euthanasia program, but here’s sobering news about assisted suicide here in the States. As we expected and warned about, so-called safeguards would drop like flies – and here at home, they are. Vermont and Oregan no longer require that those killed by assisted suicide be residents of the states. Vermont allows telemedicine, meaning outside residents can be helped to die without ever seeing a doctor in person. This is suicide tourism and violates state laws that protect their citizens from being victimized this way. Washington and Hawaii no longer require that a doctor assist the killing. It can now be done by physician assistants and nurse practitioners. The time periods of reflections have also been significantly reduced. It’s definitely a slippery slope.
