The transition to President Donald Trump is underway and today we’ll give you a glimpse into some of the matters going on.
Yesterday on Crosstalk we took you back to the U.S. Capitol concerning the election of Mike Johnson as speaker of the House. You heard his acceptance speech and map going forward. We then catapulted to Monday, January 6th to the Certification Vote of the Electors which passed without incident.
The House then went to work yesterday on passing the Lakin Riley Act which would deport illegal aliens who commit violent crimes against American citizens. Amazingly 159 Democrats in the House voted against this.
Also yesterday, President Trump addressed the nation by holding his first press conference since being certified. Today, we’re going to share this press conference. Time will not permit us to carry all the Q&A, but it will give you a glimpse of where he’s headed and what’s going on behind the scenes.
