This past Friday, a federal judge suspended the approval of the abortion pill in a ruling against the Food and Drug Administration. The judge indicated that the FDA made a series of legal errors in the approval of the pill for sale in the U.S.
Xavier Beccera, the Secretary of Health and Human Services, is calling this a reckless decision. Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is demanding that President Biden simply ignore the ruling.
Another federal judge issued a decision just minutes after this one was given with an opposite viewpoint.
