Just over 60 days ago on Crosstalk we discussed “Communist China’s Growing Threat.” You could say that we discuss this topic on a nearly daily basis because the threat is only intensifying. This is evidenced by a surveillance balloon tracking across our nation, by green lasers across Hawaii (which at least one NASA scientist believes is coming from China), by communist police stations in the U.S., by the buying up of American farmland, by massive donations to colleges and universities in America, by a mass distribution of counterfeit and pirated goods to our nation, by an increase of Chinese Nations coming across our southern border, and by so much more.
While all of this is unfolding, just a week ago in the State of the Union address, President Biden said, “Today we’re in the strongest position in decades to compete with China or anyone else in the world. I am committed to work with China where it can advance American interests and benefit the world. But make no mistake: as we made clear last week, if China threatens our sovereignty, we will act to protect our country. And we did. And let’s be clear: winning the competition with China should unite all of us. We face serious challenges across the world.”
