Ever notice how it doesn’t seem to matter if we’re having a deep freeze or hot temperatures, much rain or a lack of it, whether there’s much snow or little, if the Great Lakes are at a high or low level, nearly everything’s being blamed on climate change.
Looking back you may recall we were told we’re headed toward an ice age. That never materialized. Next up there was “global warming.” That never materialized either so now the mantra is simply “global climate change.”
In the history of the world, going back to the Garden of Eden, there’s never been a global weather utopia. We’ve always had changing weather patterns. As Genesis 8:22 reminds us, “While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease.”
Sadly, instead of worshiping the Creator, globalists have gone on to worship the creation through efforts to allegedly “save the planet.” This has resulted in the attacking of our energy supply, farmers, ranchers, the food supply, and even the population itself with the media telling people they need to rethink having children because having more could cause society to collapse.
So as it turns out, people behind such efforts may not be the protectors of the planet they claim to be but instead appear to be destroyers of humanity. Joining Jim to back up that claim was Tom DeWeese. Tom is the president of American Policy Center. Tom is one of the nation’s leading advocates of individual liberty, free enterprise, private property rights, personal privacy, back-to-basics education and American sovereignty and independence and protecting our Constitutionally-guaranteed rights. He’s the author of Sustainable: The War on Free Enterprise, Private Property and Individuals and the political novel, Erase.
Al Gore had warned of a wrenching transformation society. Tom believes those behind global climate change have figured out a way to get people to voluntarily give up their liberties through fear of environmental Armageddon. That’s what Gore was talking about when he mentioned “wrenching transformation.” It’s the idea that to protect the planet we must change human society.
Another threat is “commonism.” This is the idea that we should have common borders, no more sovereign nations, a global currency, and no private property. In other words, we’re all in this together.
Tom communicated that this is all about control. Everywhere you turn there’s a new rule or regulation telling you what you can’t do anymore. No meat eating, no gasoline powered cars, no private property, etc. because they have to be in control to make sure it’s all done properly in order to protect the planet.
Is the media being paid to promote global climate change? What’s behind the Global Education Initiative? How can people get engaged in this battle at the local level? Tom answered these and other questions while listeners joined in with their concerns as well.
