There are only two things that will last forever. The Word of God and the souls of men. It’s only the Gospel that can transform a heart from following after darkness to following light.
Jesus is the light of the world and God, in his divine plan, has chosen believers in Christ to spread the Gospel. So when was the last time you shared the Gospel with someone? It’s the Word of God that carries the message of salvation but you can also do this through personal witness.
Another effective way to share the Gospel is through the printed word…Bible tracts! In doing this, you’re not only being salt but light as well.
Joining Jim in the studio to discuss this issue was Micah McCurry. Micah is the evangelist & director of Bible Tracts, Inc. and host of the radio program, Bible Tract Echoes.
Bible Tracts, Inc. was founded in 1938 by Dr. Paul Levine who is now with the Lord. Over 80 years ago Dr. Levine wrote an article for a Christian periodical from Florida. The article was called, The New Birth. Many people read that article and wanted to pass it on to others. The problem is that folks weren’t about to cut it out of the magazine to do so.
People began contacting Dr. Levine asking if he had this article in pamphlet form. He told them he didn’t have it in that form but would be happy to comply. From these requests the first tracts were commissioned and people kept asking for them. In fact, he kept writing good Gospel articles and people kept asking for them as well.
The result is that Bible Tracts, Inc. has just surpassed 607 million tracts produced and sent around the world and all for free.
So what exactly is a Bible tract? What languages do the tracts come in? What suggestions does Micah have for getting tracts into the hands of people? Get the answers to these and other questions, hear what callers had to say, and learn how you can obtain free sample tracts so you can begin sharing the love of Christ!
