Guest: Peter LaBarbera
Peter LaBarbera is founder and president of Americans for Truth About Homosexuality.
Peter presented his response to the pressure being applied by the liberal media, LGBT activists an corporations over Indiana’s passing of their Religious Freedom Restoration Act. He feels the homosexual lobby is now attempting to demonize the effort to protect religious liberty. He went on to communicate that if the government can force you to violate your conscience with regard to religious beliefs, they’ll be able to force you to violate any firmly held belief that you have.
Jim and Peter discuss numerous news accounts related to the ‘fallout’ from the bill’s signing. They included:
–NASCAR issued a statement on their website claiming ‘disappointment’ over the legislation passed in Indiana.
–Angie’s List made public their opposition to the Indiana bill and now thousands of people are calling them and asking to have their membership subscriptions pulled. Angie’s list is responding with an e-mail offering a 25% discount if people do not cancel.
–Arkansas passes their own Religious Freedom Restoration Act but the governor is asking for it to be recalled to better reflect the terms of the federal Religious Freedom Restoration Act.
–Two men dressed as women tried to ram the gate at a national security agency headquarters in Ft. Mead with an S.U.V. It’s now been reported that the driver of the vehicle who was killed was identified as a transgender and had a criminal record.
–The attorney general in Tennessee filed a Brief of Respondents with the U.S. Supreme Court in defense of the state’s refusal to recognize so-called same-sex marriage.
–A former U.S. Congressman sent to Nigeria to investigate the kidnapping of 250 school girls has confirmed that top U.S. personnel told him they had the intelligence to aid the Nigerian military in order to crush Boko Haram but the Obama administration was blocking them from doing so because of Nigeria’s stand against same-sex marriage.
–A Christian pastor in England is arrested for quoting threatening and abusive words against homosexuality. What were those words? They were the words of Leviticus 20:13.
–The Day of Silence will once again be held in schools nationwide on April 17th supposedly out of solidarity to alleged homosexual victims around the world.
–The National Black Church Initiative, a coalition of approximately 34,000 black churches, is breaking fellowship with the Presbyterian Church U.S.A.
