Paul Taylor is the director of ministry development with Creation Today. He has been speaking and writing on the subject of creation for more than 30 years and was the senior speaker and manager of Answers in Genesis in the U.K. He was born in England and received a master’s degree in science education and a degree in chemistry. He was a science teacher in England and then in South Wales. He is the author of several books including, Don’t Miss the Boat: Fact to Keep Your Faith Afloat.

Jesus talked about Noah when he mentioned his second coming.  If Noah and the Ark weren’t real and only figurative, he wouldn’t have used them as examples.  In other words, if Noah is fictional, then you’d have to say that Christ’s return is fictional as well.

So why does it seem that so many pastors are capitulating to the evolutionary scenario that gets so much promotion?  Paul cites the lack of scientific training received by such pastors as well as the bombardment they receive from professional atheists, hence they’re unable to defend the truth of Scripture.

According to Paul, before the Flood there were fewer mutations, probably one continent, more land likely before than after the Flood, we’d see creatures that are extinct today and we’d notice the poor moral conditions.

We know the Ark’s relative dimensions, we know that it had 3 decks with rooms/pens, that there was some sort of ventilation system and that it was made from Gopher Wood sealed with pitch.

How did Noah and his family get all the animals on the Ark?  What relationship is there between the pitch used to seal the Ark and Christ’s atonement?  Does the Ark still exist?  What does the existence of fossils tell creation scientists?  Is there a connection between the Flood and the Ice Age?  All these questions and many more are answered on this fascinating edition of Crosstalk.
