This Crosstalk looked at the story of Pastor Scott Lively who is a recognized expert worldwide on the homosexual rights movement. In 2009 he was invited to Uganda to preach at various churches and to hold conference seminars for pro-family leaders and share his knowledge about the pro-homosexual agenda. He communicated the biblical view of homosexuality that teaches that homosexuality is not to be normalized, that it’s a sin and that Christ offers forgiveness.
Pastor Lively’s message was well received by pro-family advocates in Uganda. However, upon his return to the U.S., he eventually found himself as the defendant in a federal court action filed in Massachusetts by a group known as Sexual Minorities Uganda (SMUG). SMUG claimed that when Pastor Lively visited Uganda he committed crimes against humanity and crimes against international law just by the things he said.
When you review this edition of Crosstalk you’ll also hear discussion regarding legislation recently signed by Governor Chris Christie of New Jersey that bans homosexual conversion therapy for youth. This discussion includes audio from the governor himself stating that he doesn’t ‘..look upon someone who’s homosexual as a sinner.’
