As government authorities and the media continue to examine the many facets of the Boston bombing incident, the questions continue to outnumber the answers. The following are just a sample of the questions and concerns presented by Vic Eliason for listener consideration:
–Could Dzhokhar Tsarnaev be stripped of his citizenship and would that that allow him to be tried as an enemy combatant?
–Was Tsarnaev “set up” or was he a willing believer of his brother’s philosophies?
–Should intelligence gathering take precedent over Miranda rights? Does this act of terrorism even require Miranda rights?
— The American Civil Liberties Union (A.C.L.U.) is calling for the Obama administration to read the bomber his rights.
–Are there sleeper cells that are unknown at this point?
–What about the attempted terrorism of a passenger train in Canada that’s alleged to have had support from Al Qaeda elements within Iran.
–The F.B.I. was warned ahead of time by a foreign government about the older brother (who was named after a great Islamic warrior) in the Boston bombings.
–The former Bush Attorney General Michael Mukasey believes that the Boston bombings were a jihadist act. However, the Obama administration has disbanded the C.I.A. interrogation group responsible for investigating such plots.
