Ted Shoebat is the son of Walid Shoebat, a former P.L.O. terrorist. Ted is a dedicated researcher of issues like socialism, liberalism, Islamism and communism. He is the author of “In Satan’s Footsteps: The Source and Interconnections of all Evil” and co- author of “For God or For Tyranny: When Nations Deny God’s Natural Law”
The world was told that the Arab Spring was all about ushering in liberty and democracy. What Ted has found out is that the majority of the Egyptian people want Sharia law and the only entity that can stop its enforcement is the Muslim Brotherhood. He believes the Egyptian people have become a mob and that if you look at the protestors closely, you can see that it will be the youth of Egypt that will usher in Sharia law. When they do, it will not only be the government that will be doing the enforcing but the people themselves.
What does all of this mean for the relationship between Egypt and Israel? Can Mohamed Morsi continue to hold dictatorial power in Egypt? Where does Syria stand in all of this? What about Christians and Jews in the area? Get the answers when you review this Middle East update on Crosstalk.
