Michael Shaw is the President of Freedom Advocates which represents a cross-section of people from all political parties and backgrounds who are united in the principles of individual liberty, equal justice and the constitutional administration of government.

Agenda 21 is a program that was announced by the United Nations in 1992 at the Rio Earth Summit and signed by 178 nations. It’s not a typical treaty but is a soft-law treaty which means it comes back into a nation and requires no legislative approval. In the case of the U.S. it was taken by Bush’s executive department and made an integral part of the administration of all of our federal agencies. It continues on to this day in our government with full backing from both political parties.

Agenda 21 calls for an 85% reduction in the human population of the earth. It also calls for the re-wilding of over 50% of the U.S., land that won’t be accessible by people or for the resources they contain.

Agenda 21 comes into our communities in a number of ways. For example, you may have heard the phrase, “sustainable development”. This phrase encompasses the movement toward a controlled society whose economics are not based upon free enterprise or the concept of private property but instead by public-private partnerships.

Another way Agenda 21 shows up locally is through federal government councils of government (C.O.G.) or regional planning councils as they are called in Wisconsin.

What can you do to fight this progression? Find out from Michael when you review this edition of Crosstalk
