November 16th through the 19th was the dates for the National Bible Bee Competition held in Nashville. It’s the desire of the organizers of Bible Bee to encourage parents as they disciple their children through in-depth study of the Word of God, Scripture memorization and prayer.
This year’s competition was Kari Erickson’s 3rd attempt which required 3-6 hours per day of work in order to memorize 1,100 Bible verses. The hard work paid off as she is the 2011 national Bible Bee champion and winner of $100,000.
