The early portion of this Crosstalk featured two audio clips. The first came from Samantha Power who is a Special Assistant to President Barack Obama and wife of Cass Sunstein. On this clip she suggests a removal of financial support for Israel.
The second audio clip features President Obama from his recent speech on the Israeli/Palestinian situation where he claims that the United States believes in negotiations that would result in a two-state solution; one state for the Palestinians and one for Israel. This would require returning Israel geographically to its pre-1967 borders.
Join Vic and his guest, Rabbi Abba Leiter, as they look at the obvious defense concerns along with the latest response from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Rabbi Leiter notes that the Prime Minister has been very patient and conciliatory with President Obama and has told him that there is no going back to the pre-’67 border arrangement.
