I’m Bub Kuns, and today we’re talking about being good stewards of creation.
Today, we hear a lot of talk about “climate change,” with some alarmists claiming that global catastrophe is just around the corner. So, what should a believer’s attitude be towards the environment?
Well, first, believers should remember that God sustains this world, and He will ensure that it will be used for His good purposes. Isaiah 45:18 reminds us, “He is the God who formed the earth … and did not create it as a waste place, but formed it to be inhabited.” (NASB)
And second, just as the Lord charged Adam to care for Eden, we are called to be faithful stewards of God’s creation as well.
As John MacArthur said, “Christians are but God’s stewards. Everything we have is on loan from the Lord, entrusted for a while to us to use in serving Him”
