The Importance of an Intact Home (Part 2)

Welcome!

I’m Bub Kuns, and today we’re talking about the importance of an intact home.

A study by the Family Research Council found that 55% of 15-17-year-olds live in broken homes in America. As a result, we’re experiencing societal problems at an epidemic level – and seeing countless damaged lives – all because we don’t live life God’s way.

Scripture tells us God’s design is for a mother AND a father to raise their children. For example, Proverbs 6:20 says, “My son, keep your father’s commandment, and forsake not the law of your mother.” (KJV) Likewise, Proverbs 23 says that “he that begets a wise child shall have joy of him. Your father and your mother will be glad” (Prov. 23:24-25 KJV). These verses remind us of God’s expectation for the family: both a mom and dad raising their kids at home.

After all, a healthy family leads to a healthy society.

And why else is an intact home important? We’ll discuss that another time.
