The Importance of Mothers (Part 2)

Welcome!

I’m Bub Kuns, and today we’re talking about mothers in the home again.

Does motherhood mean a life of limitations?

Well, Kay Cole James, president of the conservative Heritage Foundation, doesn’t think so. James said, Rather than, “denigrating the role of motherhood, we should be celebrating it as one of the most noble choices a woman can make … Contrary to the predictions of the left, staying home for each of my children’s formative years took little away from the pursuit of my career. I’ve managed to do everything I could have ever imagined—from serving on the local school board to serving three U.S. presidents … No one can tell me that being a stay-at-home mom prevents you from having a successful career.”

To James, being a “mom” was a top priority – one that didn’t limit her. God values motherhood, and so should we. And why else are mothers important in the home? We’ll discuss that another time.
