The Benefits of a Biblical Marriage (Part 5)

Welcome!

I’m Bub Kuns, and today we’re talking about the benefits of biblical marriage again.

Marriage is not only good for a person’s heart, it’s good for a person’s health! Believe it or not, research indicates that a person’s physical well-being is linked to “tying the knot.”

In an article from Psychology Today, medical doctor Neel Burton noted that “[a]ccording to various studies, married people are more likely to survive cancer, less likely to suffer a stroke or heart attack, less likely to develop depression and other mental disorders, and the list goes on. The health advantage of marriage seems small but significant, roughly equivalent to that of a healthier diet or regular exercise.”

I guess you could say that marriage is the ultimate workout plan! You see, God’s design for relationships meets our needs in every way — body and soul. Doing relationships His way is good, and it’s good for us!

And what are other benefits of a biblical marriage? We’ll discuss them another time.
