MORALITY: The Danger of Adultery on Children

Welcome!

I’m Bub Kuns, and today we’re talking about adultery.

To put it succinctly, adultery is a sin, and it destroys marriages and forever affects the individuals involved. But how does adultery affect CHILDREN?

Well, psychologist Ana Nogales found that 70% of children of unfaithful parents say their parents’ adultery has affected their ability to trust others, 75% experience an ongoing sense of betrayal, and a whopping 80% admit that their parents’ adultery has affected their view of romantic relationships.

What’s more, according to the Journal of Family Issues, children of unfaithful moms or dads are TWICE AS LIKELY to grow up to be unfaithful themselves.

It’s tempting for people involved in adultery to think their sin only affects the spouses, but the truth is that children suffer from unfaithful parents — sometimes for their entire lives.

Now how does adultery affect a person’s reputation? We’ll discuss that another time.
