I’m Bub Kuns, and today we’re talking about communism.
Author Heinrich Heine once said, “Communism possesses a language which every people can understand – its elements are hunger, envy, and death.”
And, the fact is that Christians in countries such as China, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea, and Vietnam suffer merciless persecution at the hands of ruthless dictators.
So, what can believers in AMERICA do? Well, first we need to earnestly pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ who live under oppressive regimes. After all, I Corinthians 12:26 says of the church, “If one member suffers, all suffer together.” Second, we need to raise awareness that communist persecution still exists. And third, we need to understand the dangerous road socialism leads to and make sure America doesn’t go down it. History — past and present — reveals communism’s many evils.
Next, we’ll talk about the role of Christians in politics.
