This is Bub Kuns, and I’m talking about wokeness again.
Those in the woke movement advocate tearing down traditional institutions like the family, government, and the church — all entities that God ordained — in the name of “social justice.”
In fact, Hawk Newsome, a leader in the BLM movement, said, “If this country doesn’t give us what we want, then we will burn down this system and replace it.”
Scary!
But notice that Newsome doesn’t say WHAT he would replace the system WITH.
Apologists John Stonestreet and Glenn Sunshine write, “In the end … [t]hough the proclaimed goal [of wokeness] is to end oppression, it’s … dedicated to tearing down things but unable to build, or offer, anything better.”
Jesus said, in John 10:10, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.” Wokeness tears down, Christianity builds up.
Of course, there are more problems with wokeness and we’ll discuss them another time.
