Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!
When people first start learning all of the information about the validity of the Christian Faith through the study of Apologetics, many have a tendency to let that information go to their head.
They begin to feel more superior than those who may have less knowledge than them, and can sometimes focus on winning an argument vs. winning a soul.
We get our command to practice the discipline of Apologetics from 1 Peter 3:15 where it says to, “always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you.” But we must take time to read the end of that verse. It clearly says to, “yet do it with gentleness and respect.”
Actually, my favorite part of the verse is the very beginning. “But in our hearts honor Christ the Lord as Holy.”
How can knowledge become a support bridge for our faith? More on that next time!
