There are some who try to claim that those who hold to a Christian worldview are weak-minded, as though there is a sign above the Church door that says, “Check your brain before entering.”
The reality is that our logical understanding of our world today wouldn’t be possible without the scientific works of Christian believers such as Astronomer Galileo Galilei, Physicist Isaac Newton, and the Father of Planetary Motion, Johannes Kepler. As a matter of fact, of all the Nobel Prizes awarded between 1901 and 2000, 65.4% of the recipients identified as Christian. That’s a whopping 2/3 of all Nobel Prize winners being a strong-minded Christian!
So when someone tries to say that Christians are the weak-minded ones, I graciously point out to them the truth about how we know so much about our amazing universe.
There’s another side to all of the knowledge that can be attained by a believing Christian, but that’s for next time!
