Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!
Today, we’re talking about the enemy’s strategies.
Online pornography is a tool Satan has used to corrupt many hearts and minds in our world—and professing Christians are not immune from this plague.
According to research gathered by The Huffington Post, 50% of men who consider themselves religious — as well as 20% of women who are religious — admit to having a pornography addiction. Sadly, the same research found that there is no statistical difference between the number of Christians and non-Christians viewing pornography.
Let that sink in.
Unlike the past, when pornography was scarce and culturally taboo, today pornographic material saturates the internet and can be accessed 24/7, meaning it’s a temptation anyone can face.
Jesus warns us in Matthew 6 that if the eye is evil, the heart becomes darkened as well. Believers must protect this “eye gate” to keep our hearts pure before God.
And what are other ways the enemy deceives? We’ll discuss them another time.
