TRUE RELIGION: The Case for the God of the Bible (Part 10)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Today, we’re talking about the case for the God of the Bible.

According to research by Indiana University, those who identify as religious give more than twice as much to charity as the non-religious. In fact, according to Pew Research, nearly two-thirds of all church attendees donated time or money to help the poor within the past week!

It’s no coincidence that, historically, it’s so often been CHRISTIANS that have started homeless shelters and soup kitchens, founded hospitals, orphanages, and addiction-recovery programs, and sent aid to destitute lands.

That’s because the biblical God VALUES ALL PEOPLE – rich and poor, upper class or common laborers. We are God’s creation and, as such, we have intrinsic worth and are greatly – and equally – loved by Him.

As Proverbs 22:2 says, “The rich and the poor have this in common, The Lord is the maker of them all” (NKJV).

And what are other reasons to believe in the biblical God? We’ll discuss them another time.
