Today, we’re talking about the case for the God of the Bible.
You know, mankind is spiritually needy in two big ways: First, man has a sinful nature. Second, he cannot meet his own need for salvation from that sin.
Even though man has tried to meet his spiritual needs through countless religions and philosophies, trying to work his way to Heaven or to satisfy the spiritual emptiness in his heart, the reality is that his attempts ALWAYS fail to bring satisfaction.
You see, it is only the biblical God Who can meet our inmost spiritual needs. And that’s why God sent Jesus Christ into our world to sacrifice Himself for us on the cross. Because only the true God can meet man’s need for salvation.
As I John 4:14 says, “The Father sent the Son to be the Savior of the world.”
And what are other reasons to believe in the biblical God? We’ll discuss them another time.
