WORLDVIEW: Asking God the Tough Questions (Part 3)

Welcome to Apologetics with Carl Kerby!

Atheists claim that because evil is a reality, there can be no such thing as a Good God, since a Good God would never create evil.

Last time, we talked about how God did not create evil, but He did create the “potential” for evil by creating mankind with an independent freewill to choose evil instead of good.

But the giant elephant in the room is that for the atheist to make the claim that something is evil, there must be an ultimate standard of good to measure how evil something is.  How can we really know if something is wrong if there is no absolute right to judge it by?

Acknowledging the reality of evil forces us to admit that there must be a transcendent “good” beyond our natural world.  I like to call Him Jesus Christ, by whom all things were made and have their being.

Tune in next time as we continue to ask God some tough questions.
