Christians may be surprised to learn that Buddhism is essentially atheistic. Not only do Buddhists deny a PERSONAL God – THEY DENY ANY GOD AT ALL!
You see, despite the many Buddha statues seen in the world, Buddhists don’t view Siddhartha Gautama – the original Buddha – as a god. Instead, they simply revere their religion’s founder as an “enlightened one” who taught that truth and reality come from within a person rather than from a Supreme Deity. And in rejecting God’s existence, Buddhism also rejects the idea of creation and embraces an evolutionary worldview.
But the Bible teaches that we were designed by a personal and loving God who has revealed His truth and will for our lives through the Scriptures.
As Job reminds us, we are the “work of [God’s] hands.”
