Today, we’re talking about worldviews.
Is man good or evil by nature? It may just surprise you to know how most Americans would answer that question. According to researcher George Barna, 74% of Americans – including 52% of evangelical Christians – think people are born neither good nor evil but choose one of these paths as they age. In other words, we don’t begin life on the right road or the wrong road but in the middle of the road!
Yet, Scripture teaches something entirely different! Because of Adam’s fall, we are all born with a sinful nature. Psalm 51:5 explains that we’re “conceived” in sin, and Romans 3:10 reminds us “there is none righteous, no not one.” Fact is, we’re all born with a natural bent to evil, and it’s only by recognizing that fact and turning to Christ that we go from the wrong path to the right one.
The world around us demonstrates just how sinful man really is, but we’ll need to discuss that at another time. For more information, go to www.hopetools.net. Stay bold!
