Today, we’re talking about worldviews. Left-leaning ideologues have long promoted relativism – the idea that right and wrong are only individual preference, not the objective standard of a holy God. But ideas have consequences in the real world – sometimes deadly ones. After all, when impressionable youngsters are fed that there’s no right or wrong, that there’s no God they’ll be accountable to, and that they’re just the products of naturalistic evolution, what can we expect?
Case in point: Before the 1999 Columbine, Colorado, high school massacre, teen-murderer Eric Harris wrote this social media post:
You know what I love??? Natural selection! It’s the best thing that ever happened to the Earth. Getting rid of all the stupid and weak organisms … but it’s all natural!” In fact, the day he massacred 11 schoolmates, Harris’s t-shirt was emblazoned with the words “NATURAL SELECTION.”
Despite such evil acts, many argue that man’s nature is good, but we’ll need to discuss that idea another time. For more information, go to www.hopetools.net. Stay bold!
