WORLDVIEW: Postmodernism (Part 2)

Today, we’re talking about worldviews. Postmodernism is the worldview which claims that there’s no objective truth and that all claims of right and wrong are arbitrarily based on race, class, and gender. This is contrary to Scripture, which tells us in John 17:17 that “[God’s] Word is truth.”

But postmodernism is also self-defeating; after all, if there’s no truth, then how can postmodenism be true? As apologist William Lane Craig said:

If postmodernist claims are objectively true … then those claims are themselves the mere products of social forces and so are not objectively true. Of course, if postmodernist claims are not objectively true, then they are just the arbitrary opinions of certain people that we are free to ignore.

Right on!

Jesus said in John 18:37, “For this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness of the truth.”

TRUTH IS FOUND IN CHRIST!

Postmodernism can also be dangerous for society, but we’ll discuss that another time. For more information, go to www.hopetools.net.  Stay bold!
