WORLDVIEW: Agnosticism (Part 1)

Today, we’re talking about worldviews. Unlike atheism, which flat out denies God’s existence, the agnostic worldview claims there may be a God but insists He cannot be known. In other words, if God is out there somewhere, the agnostic has no intention of trying to find Him.

In reality, agnosticism is practical atheism. Although agnostics say they leave open the door to God’s existence, they still live as if He doesn’t. Yet, it’s in the God agnostics are ignoring that the answers to life’s most important questions are found.

As apologist Nancy Pearcey, a former agnostic, said:

The things that are so problematic … free will, moral responsibility, genuine love … are accounted for quite logically within a Christian worldview.

And God’s not hiding! Jeremiah 29:13 reminds us, “And you shall seek me, and find me, when you shall search for me with all your heart.”

Agnosticism has another problem, which we’ll discuss another time. For more information, go to www.hopetools.net.  Stay bold!
