WORLDVIEW: Nihilism (Part 2)

Today, we’re talking about worldviews. The logical conclusion of the atheistic worldview is nihilism, the idea that if there’s no God, there’s no purpose or meaning to life. What a depressing worldview!

So, what makes people want to adopt it? Well, truth is, some people simply look for any alternative to God because acknowledging Him would change their lives. You see, nihilists are often people trying to find anything other than the biblical worldview to legitimize their rejection of God’s authority over them.

J. Budziszewski, a former atheist/nihilist-turned-Christian, admitted:

You know, I didn’t study a list of propositions and then become a nihilist. I was a nihilist looking for an excuse to be a nihilist. Because the presence of God made me more and more uncomfortable, I began looking for reasons to believe that He didn’t exist.

That says it all!

Along with atheism, agnosticism is another deceptive worldview, but we’ll discuss that another time. For more information, go to www.hopetools.net.  Stay bold!
