Today, we’re talking about worldviews. The logical conclusion of those who hold to an atheistic worldview is nihilism. And no, that’s not a study of the Nile River! Nihilism is the idea that if there is no God, as atheism proports, then there can be no ultimate meaning or purpose to life.
Nihilism is where atheism naturally leads. But almost everyone knows deep down that life must have ultimate purpose. In fact, Romans 2:15 tells us that God has written His truth on the human heart. Man, created in the image of God, has a conscience that helps him know right from wrong.
Truth is, many people accept atheism and argue for nihilism simply because they are looking for a way to reject God – even though they know better. But why would people purposely want to reject God?
