Today, we’re talking about worldviews. Many false worldviews today challenge the biblical worldview. One of these is naturalism.
Naturalism is the idea that nature itself is the cause and the sole explanation for life and existence in the universe. Influenced by Darwinian evolution, naturalism leaves no room for a supernatural, personal God who created man in His image. Instead, man is the product of impersonal, natural forces; he is also at the mercy of these same forces.
In contrast, the biblical worldview tells us that we’re not the product of nature but of a loving and all-wise Creator. Isaiah 45:12 says, “I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens.” As science discovers more about the complexity of the universe and life itself, God’s hand of design in creation is clearly seen.
But if this is true, then why do so many people still embrace a naturalistic worldview? We’ll need to discuss that at another time. For more information, go to www.hopetools.net. Stay bold!
