Today, we’re talking about worldviews and the way a biblical worldview helps us see the world as it really is. Today’s news headlines and blog posts are chock-full of different perspectives on everything from abortion to euthanasia to critical race theory. So, how do we know whose opinion is right on these types of issues? Well, the Bible tells us that God’s opinion is!
Psalm 119:128 tells us:
Therefore I esteem all [God’s] precepts concerning all things to be right; and I hate every false way.
You see, a biblical worldview not only helps us see ourselves for who we are (sinners in need of redemption) and who Christ is (the One that can save us), but as we grow in our understanding of God’s Word, we also begin to see every issue of life from God’s perspective, which is the correct one.
C.S. Lewis, a former atheist who became a Christian, said:
I believe in Christianity as I believe that the Sun has risen, not only because I see it, but because by it I see everything else.
EXACTLY!
A biblical worldview can also keep us from falling prey to false belief systems, but we’ll discuss that another time. Until then, find more apologetic resources at debunked.org. Stay bold!
