Today, we’re talking about worldviews, specifically the biblical worldview and how having one changes the way we look at life. Have you ever looked at a video with 3D glasses? You know the kind of glasses I mean – those goofy-looking cardboard frames with red and blue plastic eye pieces that make objects appear to pop out.
What happens when you take those same 3D glasses and look away from the video at anything else? It changes the way everything else looks, too – walls, furniture, family members – you name it. A worldview is like those 3D glasses. Whatever worldview lens you’re looking through affects the way you see every issue in life, such as creation, morality, and the sanctity of life.
As Pastor Tony Evans has said:
There is no area of life that does not have a worldview attached to it.
You see, a biblical worldview is not just a nice-sounding theory – it’s using God’s Word to help us see life as it really is, and to navigate a world full of false ideas. We’ll discuss that more at another time. Until then, find more apologetic resources at debunked.org. Stay bold!
