Today, we’re talking about the apologetic argument from design, specifically the design of the cell. In Darwin’s time, scientists thought cells were simply made of mush called protoplasm; however, recent technology has allowed scientists to take a much closer look inside the cell. Instead of just finding protoplasm, they found an INDUSTRIAL PLANT!
You see, scientists discovered how complex cells really are. Each one made up of BILLIONS of DNA units which produce molecular “machinery” with intricate, interworking parts that promote cell function. In fact, former U.S. National Academy of Sciences president Bruce Alberts said:
Indeed, the entire cell can be viewed as a factory that contains an elaborate network of interlocking assembly lines, each of which is composed of a set of large protein machines.
These biological machines are evidence of DESIGN! As Ephesians 2:10 says, “We are His workmanship.”
