Today, we’re talking about the argument of design, specifically the design found in DNA. DNA is the genetic information that is found in the cells of every living thing. This information has been compared to code and is responsible for the function, characteristics, and reproduction of life. Information like color, shape, and size in everything from a tomato to a tortoise is stored in a complex series of chemicals that act like letters in the alphabet. The different combinations of these chemical “letters” act similarly to software on a computer in determining the characteristics of the organism.
Like astronomer Sir Fred Hoyle said:
As biochemists discover more and more about the awesome complexity of life, it is apparent that its chances of originating by accident are so minute that they can be completely ruled out. Life cannot have arisen by chance.
RIGHT! God designed it!
You may ask, “But if there are examples like these of design, why do some scientists reject that idea?” That’s a topic we’ll have to address another time. Until then, find more apologetic resources at debunked.org. Stay bold!
