Can Christians answer the claim that evolution proves there’s no God? Yes, we can, and we will!
First, I’ve found that knowing WHAT the world teaches about evolution helps me respond. In Matthew 16:13, Jesus asks His disciples, “Who do people say that the Son of Man is?” To answer that question for ourselves, we have to know what the world believes, and that means we have to engage them.
To start, I’ll ask the question, “What do you mean by evolution?” What you’ll find is that many people can’t explain what they mean … they’re just repeating what they’ve been taught. Depending on how they answer that question will determine how we can proceed.
If they say, “change over time,” there is no argument. As a Christian and a Creationist, I also believe in “change over time.” Just look at my wedding pictures! I’ve changed quite a bit over the last 40 years!
But, if they say that tiny changes can eventually turn a worm into human beings, then we’ve gotta’ problem!
