How was Grand Canyon formed? Well, the signs say the rock layers were laid down over millions of years, and then the Colorado River slowly eroded through those layers, producing a canyon.
Now creationists study the Grand Canyon too. But we have a very different interpretation! We believe the rock layers were laid down quickly, during Noah’s flood. And then, sometime after the flood, massive lakes burst their dams and the rushing waters rapidly carved the canyon.
So was it a little water and a lot of time, or a lot of water and a little time? Well, as we’ve seen this week, it comes down to your starting point—God’s Word or man’s word?
