Now that Thanksgiving is behind us, many Americans are rushing ahead with Christmas preparations. But don’t let that busyness distract you from being thankful to the Lord.
You see, the Christmas season should remind us that our biggest problem has already been solved! Jesus came to bring peace on earth, goodwill toward men, and joy to the world. But the way he did that with his first coming was by living the perfect life—a life we can’t live. He then died on the cross in our place! Through his death he solved our biggest problem—the sin that separates us from God.
So don’t get distracted this season from praising God for his good gift of Jesus Christ.
