Scientists used to think Neanderthals were unintelligent, sub-human brutes. But creation scientists recognized that Neanderthals had all the hallmarks of being human. They used fire, buried their dead with rituals, and used tools to hunt. And more research has revealed that Neanderthals likely wore jewelry and make-up, and could even bind up broken bones.
Also, Neanderthal homes, which were often in caves, were divided into specific rooms and even had hot water! Few scientists today think they were non-human brutes.
For a time, it seemed God’s Word couldn’t be trusted. But, like always, science eventually caught up with God’s Word.
