Yesterday we learned that mankind isn’t going to destroy this earth. Eventually God will, in judgment. But does this mean we can just do whatever we want to the earth?
No! In Genesis chapter one, God charged mankind with dominion over the earth. They were to subdue and care for it, that’s true of us today, too!
All throughout Scripture we see that God cares for what he’s made—including the plants and animals. So, we can’t just do whatever we want, depleting resources with no thought of the future. Or destroying habitat with no regard for the creatures that live there. We’re to be good stewards, having dominion for our good, God’s glory.
