I wish there were more scientists today like Matthew Maury. This man is remembered as the “Pathfinder of the Seas” because he discovered and mapped the ocean currents. But here’s why I wish more scientists were like him. He read his Bible and he believed it!
In Psalm 8, Maury read of the “paths of the seas.” Since he believed the Bible, he knew that, if the Bible said there were paths in the seas, then there really were paths in the seas. So, he set out to find them and made a discovery that revolutionized the study of the oceans!
Imagine how much more we’d know about the world if more scientists started with God’s Word?
