Yesterday we learned that Noah didn’t have to squeeze the animals onto a tiny boat to save them from the flood. The Ark was a massive ship!
But did you know that Noah had to take far fewer animals than you probably think onto the Ark? You see, he was told to take two of every kind of land animal and seven pairs of some. So, no sea creatures and probably no insects. That brings the number of animals way down.
And Noah needed to bring kinds, not our modern species. Kinds are at about the level of “family” in our classification system. There were probably only about one thousand four hundred kinds needed on the ark!
Yes, there was plenty of room!
