This week we’re looking at how we got the Bible. Yesterday we learned that ultimately it came from God and that God has faithfully preserved his Word. But how?
Well, for thousands of years, the only manuscripts of the Bible were carefully hand copied by scribes. But can we trust those copies? After all, variations do creep into even the best copies.
Well consider when the Dead Sea scrolls were discovered. They contained a copy of the book of Isaiah one thousand years older than what we had. But this older Isaiah is virtually identical to copies from a millennia later!
Yes, God has preserved his Word. We can trust the Bible.
